ALLENTOWN PA; April 28, 2000 - Heavy bags are no longer made of just canvas and leather stuffed with foam. Balazs Inc. has created a water-filled heavy bag that is made of high-tensile PVC coated polyester-the same material used to make white water rafts. This material is designed to withstand the rocky waters of the Colorado River and will not puncture or tear no matter how much abuse a boxer gives it.

The Balazs Liquid® heavy bag has a firm yet forgiving feel, and is specially designed to absorb the destructive impact of a boxer's punch. This greatly reduces the risk of wrist and hand injuries, and makes the Liquid bag a far more enjoyable-even life-like-sparring partner. After one punch, any boxer who has used a traditional bag can feel the difference. The Liquid bag's shock absorbing qualities make it more stable, in contrast to the swinging, swaying and spinning of traditional canvas and leather bags.

As another training benefit, the Balazs Liquid® bag has an 11-inch diameter, which is 3-7 inches smaller than most heavy bags. This allows boxers to quickly maneuver around the bag and throw lightning-fast combinations. When not in use, the Liquid bag may be emptied, folded and stored in any home or gym closet. When ready to be used, the Liquid bag can easily be filled with a hose in a matter of 15 minutes.
